England vs Ghana Predictions
A strong opening statement puts England in control
England opened their World Cup campaign with a 4-2 victory over Croatia, a fixture that looked their toughest assignment in Group L on paper. That result leaves the Three Lions in position to secure top spot with a game remaining if they overcome Ghana on Tuesday.
Ghana also collected three points in their opener, edging Panama 1-0 through a late winner. Yet the numbers from that match were less convincing. The Black Stars saw less possession and managed only two shots on target, while Panama produced four efforts on frame.
There is a tournament angle here too. England have already shown they can score freely, while Ghana arrived at the World Cup after losing five of their previous six matches. That run included a 5-1 defeat to Austria, while 2-1 and 2-0 losses against Germany and Mexico were arguably kinder than the overall balance of those games.
England created enough chances to beat Croatia by an even wider margin, with goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic forced into a couple of exceptional saves. Still, the attacking output remained the key takeaway from that opening performance.
England have won four of their last ten matches by at least two goals, and Ghana's recent results point in the same direction. A bet on England -2 handicap at 2.40 appeals.

Kane remains the focal point in front of goal
Harry Kane is once again the main player angle in this fixture. The England captain struck twice against Croatia and extended his national-team record to 81 goals.
The Bayern Munich forward also moved level with Gary Lineker on 10 World Cup goals for England. Another strike against Ghana would give him that record outright, adding extra significance to Tuesday's contest.
England continue to rely heavily on their skipper in the final third, and Kane remains first choice from the penalty spot. Those factors naturally keep his scoring frequency high in major tournaments.
There are other candidates in the England attack, with Marcus Rashford an interesting option if selected ahead of Anthony Gordon. Yet Kane's numbers remain difficult to overlook. Two goals in the opener and a chance to stand alone in England's World Cup scoring history make Harry Kane anytime scorer at 1.50 hard to ignore.
