AC Milan vs Lecce Predictions
Milan can restore their winning margin at San Siro
AC Milan have cleared a -1 handicap in six of their last eight home meetings with Lecce. Sunday’s return to San Siro also follows a difficult few days for Ruben Amorim’s side.
Milan lost 2-0 to Benfica in the Europa League on Wednesday after back-to-back Serie A draws. They had previously beaten Torino and Venezia before drawing with Juventus and Lazio, so Lecce offer a different test after that demanding run.
The visitors have lost to nil in two of their last three league matches. Roma handed them a 4-0 home defeat, winning the xG battle 3.27 to 0.80, while Lecce also lost 1-0 at Cagliari in their most recent away game and faced nine shots on target.
There was some relief in a 3-2 victory over Monza, although Lecce scored with every shot they put on target in that match. Their longer record against Milan is much less encouraging, with no win in the last 15 meetings and seven defeats from their last eight visits to San Siro.
Milan have improved in attacking areas under Amorim this summer, and six handicap covers from the last eight home meetings make AC Milan -1 the way to go at 1.80.

Lecce’s San Siro scoring drought points to another clean sheet
Lecce have failed to score in each of their last five away meetings with Milan. The Rossoneri have therefore kept five consecutive home clean sheets in this fixture, giving the exact-score market a clear defensive reference.
Milan have also scored exactly twice in three of their four Serie A matches this season. That scoring level matches a Lecce away record which saw them concede at least two goals in six of 10 trips to top-10 sides last season.
The head-to-head results add another result-based marker. Lecce have lost five of their last six meetings with Milan without scoring, conceding 15 goals across those defeats.
Their recent league results have continued in a similar direction, with defeats to nil against Roma and Cagliari among their last three matches. Milan’s own recent run has included two Serie A draws and the 2-0 Europa League loss to Benfica, but their record in this fixture has repeatedly produced both the home result and a clean sheet.
With Milan scoring twice in three of four league games and Lecce blanking on their last five visits to San Siro, I’m going for AC Milan 2-0 at 6.50.
